Sweden’s curling star back in the game

The return of the World Senior Championships to Sweden has also brought back to the ice Anette Norberg, arguably one of the most successful curling players and female skips in the sport’s history. Anette has won two Olympic gold medals, three World Championships, and seven European Championships. She formally announced her retirement in 2014.

Following Tuesday’s (24 April) round-robin play in the World Senior Curling Championships in Oestersund, Sweden, both women’s Groups have emerged with clear leaders. Denmark men and Slovakia women win European Curling Championships C-Division 2018

Denmark men and Slovakia women have won the European Curling Championship 2018 C-Division in Taarnby, Denmark and secured their place in the Le Gruyère AOP European Curling Championships 2018 B-Division being held in Tallinn, Estonia in November. Also qualifying for the B-Division and winning silver medals were Poland women and Belarus men.

World Curling reveal Curling World Cup identity and dates

The World Curling Federation has revealed the logo for its Curling World Cup and the dates for the four events. The first leg of this new series will be held in 2018 in China between 10 and 16 September, followed by the second leg in North America between 2 and 9 December.
