President Kate Caithness made Honorary Professor of Beijing Sport University

World Curling Federation (WCF) President, Kate Caithness, was awarded an Honorary Professorship by Beijing Sport University (BSU) President, Chi Jian in a ceremony on 15 June 2017.

The ceremony, held at Beijing Sport University, was attended by Deputy Director of the State General Administration of Sports, Gao Zhidan; Party Secretary of BSU, Cao Weidong; Deputy Director of the Administration Center of Winter Sport, Liu Chengliang; and the Heads of Curling, Ice Hockey and Bobsleigh & Skeleton departments, and Vice Presidents of BSU, Hu Yang and Gao Feng.

President Caithness expressed her gratitude at being made an Honorary Professor of BSU and introduced the development of curling in the world and the current state of development in China.

By awarding President Caithness as an Honorary Professorship, BSU aims to deepen the cooperation between Beijing Sport University and the World Curling Federation, and seek the advantages of International Sports Organisations to help and support the Winter Sports Programme and provide a greater platform for the development of Winter Sports of BSU.
