China wins final spots for World Juniors

The Chinese junior men’s and women’s gold medal wins at the Pacific Junior Curling Championships (PJCC) in Nayoro, Japan this weekend completes the line up of World Curling Federation Member Associations that will compete at the 2010 World Junior Curling Championships.

In the junior men’s final, Team China beat Team Japan 3-2 to win gold and secure the Pacific region qualification place for the World Juniors. In the junior women’s final, China beat Korea 4-3 to win gold and the world championship slot.

Earlier in the week, at the 2010 European Junior Curling Challenge in Prague, Czech Republic, Finland’s junior men’s team and Germany’s junior women’s team secured the last European spots for the World Junior Curling Championships which will take place in Flims, Switzerland from 6-14 March.
