WCF President receives domestic award Print E-mail

The 2007 inductees to the Canadian Curling Hall of Fame were announced here at the Ford World Men's Curling Championship, and World Curling Federation President Les Harrison is among the recipients.

Harrison, of Moncton, New Brunswick, was selected as a winner of the President's Recognition Award.

"It is an extreme honour and pleasure for me to announce the induction of these outstanding curlers and builders to the Hall of Fame," said Canadian Curling Association President Donna Duffett.

The President's Recognition Award is presented for unique and outstanding contribution to the sport of curling in Canada. Harrison is a longtime curling volunteer within his province and with the CCA, prior to his April 2006 election to the presidency of the WCF.

All of the inductees and award winners will be duly recognized with appropriate awards for their accomplishments.
