The Olympic Curling Competition at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver will comprise 10 teams for both Men and Women.
Canada as host nation (*) will receive automatic entries. Theremaining nine places will be offered to the nine National Olympic Committees of the Member Associations of the WCF who have gained the most qualifying points from the World Curling Championships (WCCs) held in 2007, 2008, and 2009.
Points are awarded according to final ranking of the 12 participating teams in WCCs as follows:

At the 2007 WCCs, teams sharing the same win/loss record at the end of the competition were awarded an equal share of the points available. At the 2008 and 2009 WCCs, teams sharing the same win/loss record at the end of the competition, and where the record of games between or among teams does not clearly determine a ranking, will be ranked for the distribution of Olympic Qualification Points by the results of the Draw Shot Challenge.
