* Canada as host country for the 2010 Paralympic Winter Games has guaranteed qualification.
** Points for Great Britain are gained by Scotland at World Wheelchair Championships.

The Paralympic Curling Competition at the 2010 Paralympic Winter Games in Vancouver will comprise 10 teams.

Canada as host nation (*) will receive an automatic entry. The remaining nine places will be offered to the nine National Paralympic Committees of the Member Associations of the WCF who have gained the most qualifying points from the World Wheelchair Curling Championships (WWhCCs) held in 2007, 2008, and 2009.

Points are awarded according to final ranking of the 10 participating teams in WWhCCs as follows:

Ranking        Points

First (1)         12
Second (2)     10
Third (3)         8
Fourth(4)        7
Fifth (5)          6
Sixth (6)          5
Seventh (7)     4
Eight (8)         3
Ninth (9)        2

At the 2007 WWhCCs, teams sharing the same win/loss record at the end of the competition were awarded an equal share of the points available. At the 2008 and 2009 WWhCCs, teams sharing the same
win/loss record at the end of the competition, and where the record of games between or among teams does not clearly determine a ranking, will be ranked for the distribution of Paralympic  qualification Points by the results of the Draw Shot Challenge.
