Slovenia, Turkey, Armenia and Romania are among the latest nations to join the World Curling Federation.
Since curling was re-introduced into the Olympic Winter Games programme in 1998 there has been a boom of interest in the sport.
During the Le Gruyère European Curling Championships in Champéry Switzerland, World Curling Federation TV reporter Alison Walker discovered some of the challenges being faced by new curling nations.
