4th Annual World Curling Federation Congress

The World Curling Federation’s (WCF) 2015 Congress is now underway in Belgrade, Serbia.

This, the fourth annual Congress, is being hosted by the National Curling Association of Serbia.

On Tuesday (1 September 2015) evening WCF President, Kate Caithness, along with members of the WCF Board, began proceedings by signing and laying bricks that are set to form part of the first dedicated curling facility in Serbia.

During the week the WCF commissions will meet – Finance, Athlete, Competitions and Rules, Governance and Zonal (Americas, European and Pacific-Asia). There will also be Open Meetings for delegates, which will cover plans for a Forward Strategy, rule changes, system of play changes for regional championships and vice-president and director elections among other topics.

In all 140 delegates will attend the Congress, which will culminate with the Federation’s Annual General Assembly on Saturday (5 September 2015).
