Spain, New Zealand, Türkiye and Finland secure spots at World Mixed Doubles 2025 

The 20 spaces are now filled for the World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship 2025, after the final four teams won their spots at the World Mixed Doubles Qualification Event 2024 this Saturday (7 December) in Dumfries, Scotland. 

Spain, New Zealand, Türkiye and Finland secured their places at the World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship 2025 which will take place in Fredericton, Canada from 26 April – 3 May. The ‘A-Road’ saw New Zealand defeat Latvia 9-7 and undefeated Spain beat Slovakia 7-5 on Friday (6 December) to win the first two available spots in Fredericton.

On Saturday (8 December), Türkiye secured a convincing 15-3 win against Slovakia and, after an extra end, Finland beat Latvia 9-6 to earn their spot in next year’s championship. 

20 teams will now compete at the World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship 2025: Australia, Canada, China, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Scotland, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Türkiye and United States.

The World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship 2025 will be the final chance for Member Associations to earn Olympic Qualification Points towards the Milano Cortina Olympic Winter Games 2026. Click here to see the current Olympic Qualification Points standings.
